Terms of Service
These terms cover the online edition of Diplomatic Immunity — the website, the Discord activity, and the desktop and phone apps — published by Beckham Enterprises, LLC. By playing, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
1. The game
Diplomatic Immunity is a multiplayer card game. You may play it for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. The rules, cards, art, characters, narration, music and software are ours or licensed to us; you may not copy, sell, or redistribute them, or make a competing product from them. Screenshots and videos of your games are welcome, including in monetized streams.
2. Accounts
You can play without an account. If you create one, keep your email access secure — a sign-in link sent to it is a sign-in. You must be 13 or older. One person per account; you are responsible for what happens under it. You can delete it at any time from the game’s menu.
3. The Diplomatic Passport and other purchases
- The Passport is a one-time purchase that removes advertising and unlocks cosmetic extras on the account that bought it, on every platform where you sign in with that account. It is not a currency and confers no advantage in play.
- Purchases on Steam, the App Store, Google Play, the Microsoft Store or Discord are governed by that store’s terms and refund policy. Web purchases through Stripe may be refunded within 14 days if you have not used the Passport; contact us.
- We may change or retire cosmetic extras, but a Passport bought remains ad-free for the life of the service.
4. Fair play and conduct
Don’t cheat, automate play, attack the service, or use the table chat to harass, threaten or discriminate. Display names must not impersonate others or contain abuse. We may remove content, suspend accounts, or ban players who break these rules, and we may report unlawful behavior to the authorities.
5. Availability
The game is provided as is. We work to keep it running and to keep games fair, but we don’t promise it will be available at all times, that tables will never be interrupted, or that a computer player will never make a foolish move. We may change the rules, cards and features as the game develops, and we may end the online service with reasonable notice.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from playing, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and say so in the game. Questions, refunds and deletion requests: the address below. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
